His older brother is Michael Clifford, and entrepreneur and principal in Grand Canyon Education including Grand Canyon University. Clifford is quoted widely in the attached article about Grand Canyon hiring away the President of the University of Phoenix to join its executive corps as CEO.
Grand Canyon University is in midst of an IPO, and is valued at $1.0 billion.
